Strip-planking with Paulownia (18lbs/cuft) provides a clear strength to weight advantage over Western Red Cedar (23lbs/cuft) and Alaskan Yellow Cedar (31lbs/cuft), while still providing excellent workability characteristics such as beveling, planing and sanding.
Light and strong boards crafted with Paulownia are more easily maneuvered on the water, and easier to transfer from rack to vehicle to beach. Weighs less and performs better!
